YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy Avoided Most of Questions on Liquor scam At SIT Investigation

The powerful YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy, who has played a very key role in financial matters during the YSRCP regime, has reportedly avoided several questions when SIT officials asked him during investigation. It seems that Mithun Reddy was unable to answer the questions posed at the Vijayawada CP office.

It is known that the Chandrababu Naidu government has formed a SIT in connection with the liquor scam that took place during the Jaganmohan Reddy government. With this, the SIT officials are questioning all the big leaders of the YSRCP who ran the liquor racket during the then YSRCP government by issuing notices.

As part of this, the officials obtained key information from former YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy on Friday. Former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s key associate and  party’s MP Mithun Reddy attended for questioning on Saturday. The interrogation that began in the morning at the Vijayawada CP office continued for eight hours in a row.

The SIT officials showered questions on MP Mithun Reddy for more than 7 hours. The interrogation was conducted in the presence of Mithun Reddy’s lawyer. The SIT officials asked lengthy questions on the formulation of the liquor policy, Mithun Reddy’s involvement, and the purchases of liquor by AP Beverages Corporation from distilleries.

The SIT officials also asked questions on the extent to which AP Beverages Corporation purchased liquor from Raj Kasireddy’s Aadan Distillery and DeCart, which planned the entire liquor policy in the YSRCP government. Questions were also raised on the price at which liquor was supplied from the distilleries.

The SIT officials also questioned Mithun Reddy about Mithun Reddy’s relations with Raj Kasireddy, his followers Chanakya, Avinash Reddy, Kiran, and Saif, and about his financial transactions. However, it is reported that Mithun Reddy evaded answers to many of the questions asked by the officials.

The SIT officials also questioned Mithun Reddy about what he had discussed about liquor policies at Vijayasai Reddy’s house. Finally, after taking signatures from Mithun Reddy’s statement, the SIT officials sent him away, saying that they would call him again if necessary.
