The TDP-led state government has been focusing on the AP liquor scam, in which several persons closely associated with former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy were arrested or named. Now, the YSRCP has been attempting to give an impression this case was fabricated against their leaders.
As a proof it has leaked an video, in which former YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy was seen secretly meeting a key TDP leader.
This meeting took place on the previous day of Vijayasai Reddy attending CID probe in March, earlier this year.
It may be recalled that Jaganmohan Reddy himself accused two days ago that Vijayasai Reddy resigned as Rajya Sabha member, three years prior to completion of his term only after colluding with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Now, the YSRCP has released a video on its social media platform. In it, it has mentioned many issues, alleging that Vijayasai Reddy met a TDP leader during the investigation of the liquor case. In the tweet made by the YSRCP, it said that this is solid evidence that Vijayasai Reddy was sold to the TDP.
It said that Vijayasai Reddy arrived at Villa No. 27 in Tadepalli Park Villa at 5:49 pm, on March 11. It stated that TDP leader TD Janardhan arrived at the same villa 13 minutes later. It analyzed that secret discussions took place for 45 minutes. Janardhan Reddy is TDP Politburo member and former president of APCOB, said to be a close associate of CM Chandrababu Naidu.
On the next day on March 12 Vijayasai Reddy attended SIT probe in AP Liquor Case at CID Regional Office in Vijayawada. Soon after attending questioning, he made many allegations targeting YV Vikrant Reddy, the son of YV Subbareddy, a key leader in YCP. He has made allegations targeting Vikrant Reddy in the transfer of shares of Kakinada Sea Port.
Vijayasai Reddy said that Vikrant Reddy played a key role in the entire agreement. He said that YS Jagan had no connection with the transfer of port shares. He said that Vikrant Reddy played a key role in reaching the agreement between KV Rao, Sarath Chandra Reddy and Aurobindo companies.
Meanwhile, the YSRCP social media said that immediately after attending SIT questioning, Vijayasai Reddy criticized and made venomous comments against YS Jaganmohan Reddy in front of the media. Isn’t this a betrayal of trust? it asked. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen how Vijayasai Reddy will now respond to these allegations being made by the YCP.
