YS Sharmila Flays coalition Government should Be Ashamed of putting urea No-stock Boards

AP Congress President YS Sharmila was furious that the coalition government should be ashamed of putting urea no-stock boards near Rythu Seva, Mark Fed and Society centers in a state that supported the BJP.  She expressed concern that the urea hardships of farmers in AP are indescribable.

No matter how much farmers are moved, she said they cry for fertilizers and kilometer-long queues at fertilizer centers that start early in the morning. Thus, she lamented that they are waiting for days for urea blocks.  Is this the sincerity of the coalition government towards the farmers? Sharmila wondered whether making farmers suffer for fertilizers means being biased against farmers?

She flagged that the coalition government is not a big deal for cultivation and it has put a knife on the neck of the farmer. She asked what happened to that fertilizer if urea is received as per the state quota?

She protested that if 6.34 lakh metric tons of urea reaches the state, why is there a fertilizer shortage for farmers? Where has the urea that should have reached the farmers gone? To whose godowns is urea being illegally transported? Are the Agriculture Department and Vigilance sleeping on illegal transportation?, she asked.

YS Sharmila wondered why a bag that should have been sold for Rs 266 is being sold for Rs 500 in the open market?  Is this a real shortage or is it an artificial shortage created by the ruling party leaders?

On behalf of the Congress party, she demanded that CM Chandrababu Naidu answer this. She demanded that the urea black market racket be stopped immediately and vigilance checks be intensified. She asked for immediate checks to be conducted on private traders.

Sharmila demanded that strict action be taken against those who block urea as per the EC Act and  that the additional 1.5 lakh metric tons of urea required by the farmers during this Kharif season be supplied through societies immediately. She wanted immediate support for the farmers of the state.
