YS Sharmila Asks Governor Nazeer For Action Against Adani- Jagan solar power Deals

APCC chief YS Sharmila met Governor Abdul Nazeer at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday and in a petition urged him to take action   against the solar power deals between Gautam Adani and former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.  She explained the facts established by the US investigation agencies that Jagan took bribes worth Rs. 1750 crore will provide a base to take up a probe into it.

Sharmila requested that the power deals made in corruption be cancelled and action be taken against them. She alleged that Adani had committed irregularities in many states. She criticized that investigation agencies like ED and CBI are under his control and unable to look into it. But, she recalled that the US investigation agencies have exposed this corruption.

She alleged that Adani had committed corruption to tarnish the reputation of the country and Jagan had tarnished the reputation of AP.

She deplored that a charge sheet was prepared in the US with evidence and proof, the central and state governments have not responded to this corruption. She lamented that Chief Minister Chandrababu did not dare to mention Adani’s name.

She wondered what action will Chandrababu, who is in an alliance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, take now? She expressed concern that these agreements will burden the people with thousands of crores. She alleged that Jagan has made an agreement to provide rates that are not available in any other state.

Sharmila mentioned that former minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy also says that irregularities have been committed. Though Chandrababu has also made many allegations in the past, she wondered why now he is not taking action on these agreements? Why is Chandrababu, who talks about Jagan’s corruption, not at least mentioning Adani’s name?

Sharmila demanded that Chandrababu should respond to the agreement made in AP and take action. She made it clear that Congress will fight against Adani’s corruption in Parliament.

“Jagan has turned our Andhra Pradesh into Adani Pradesh. The Gangavaram project worth Rs. 9,000 crores was tied to Rs. 600 crores. And how many bribes did Jagan take in this project?”, she asked.

She demanded that the state government should respond and investigate this. She also asked that TDP MPs should support Congress demand in Parliament for a JPC to probe into these allegations.
