YS Jagan worry To save Kadapa Municipality From slipping Into TDP’s Fold

As many key leaders in the party are leaving after recent humiliating defeat to the party in the elections and TDP is succeeding in hijacking several Municipal Corporations from YCP’s fold, former chief minister and YCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy is worry to save Kadapa Municipality, in his own district, from slipping into TDP’s fold.

As already several corporators of the Kadapa Municipal Corporation have joined the TDP, he has started efforts to save the existing corporators. and retain the Kadapa Corporation. As part of that, YS Jagan is holding a marathon session with the YCP corporators of the Kadapa Municipal Corporation at his house in Idupulapaya on Tuesday.

It is learned that the party chief is holding talks with the corporators as well as the YCP leaders so that no one leaves the party. He is reportedly assuring them that he will solve their problems somehow and asking them to trust him.

As the YCP has distanced itself from power, already 8 corporators  recently took the TDP’s mantle in the presence of TDP chief and CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu. There is also a heated discussion in the district that some other corporators are also ready to follow the same path.

In this context, it seems that former CM YS Jagan has stepped into the fray and taken steps to prevent them from changing parties. On the other hand, an all-member meeting of the Kadapa Municipal Corporation was held on Monday. In this meeting, Kadapa MLA and TDP leader R. Madhavi Reddy protested after she was not given a seat on the dais.

She also tried to discuss 54 public issues in this meeting. But the mayor did not allow her to discuss them. Due to this, MLA Madhavi Reddy reacted quite strongly against the mayor’s style of behavior. Moreover, both TDP and YSRCP corporators protested against each other.

This entire episode went viral in both the media and social media. At such a time, it is interesting that YS Jagan has stepped into the fray and is trying to appease the corporators of his party.
