Former Chief Minister and YCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has lamented that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has incurred a debt of Rs 80,820 crore in nine months of rule. He said that he would incur another Rs 50,000 crore in the name of Amaravati and questioned whose pockets these debts were going into.
He asked CM Chandrababu how he can create wealth? He accused them of cheating on volunteers and employees. He expressed anger that CM Chandrababu remained silent when the height of Polavaram was being reduced in the budget. He alleged that CM Chandrababu failed to attract any investments from Davos summit and moreover investors are running away from the state due to harassment.
Jagan accused this government of being ready to hand over medical colleges to the private sector and alleged that while the state government’s income is decreasing, Chandrababu’s pocket income is increasing. He criticized that liquor, sand and fly ash mafias are giving shares to Pedababu, Chinababu and adopted son.
Jagan alleged that MLAs are running poker clubs. Jagan commented that whatever happens in the constituency, the permission of MLAs has to be taken. Strongly criticizing YCP MP Mithun Reddy’s name in the liquor scam, he wondered how he was involved in a liquor case?
The former Chief Minister alleged that the present government is framing false cases against his party leader. Lamenting that the liquor scam was created by the government, he asked whether liquor dealers give bribes to him for reducing the prices or gives to Chandrababu for increasing the prices and also supply?
He took severe exception that some Rajya Sabha members of his party like Vijayasai Reddy are resigning and also joining other parties. He said that “there will be difficulties in politics… if we work hard for five years, our time will come. credibility is more important in politics. This applies to Vijayasai Reddy and the rest”. He felt that they are leaving due to temptations, fear or compromises.
Jagan also made key comments on coming to the assembly session and made it clear he will not attend till he is given status of `Leader of Opposition’. “Will they be given time to speak if I come to the assembly on par with the Chief Minister?’, he asked. Referring to Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishnam Raju’s comments that he would be disqualified if absent from the assembly for 60 days, Jagan said that he is ready to take any action if he did not attend the assembly.
