YS Jagan Slams Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan Over Arrests of YSRCP Workers

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the leader of the YSR Congress Party, expressed his strong disapproval today regarding the recent arrests of the party’s social media activists in Andhra Pradesh. He lashed out, saying, “If you are this angry, just imagine how angry I am,” as he condemned the treatment of his party members. Jagan also took a firm stand against the media’s “shameless” coverage following the car accident involving his mother, YS Vijayamma, calling the reports disgraceful and offensive.

Addressing accusations about his mother’s letter being fake, Jagan clarified that false claims led his mother to release a video personally to set the record straight. He also questioned why leaders from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), who were responsible for spreading fake news, had not yet been held accountable or arrested.

Turning his attention to Andhra Pradesh’s police force, Jagan raised concerns over the lack of action against DGP Lokesh, particularly after a report from Andhra Jyothi alleging that Kadapa’s SP’s wife had made a phone call. In his statement, Jagan sarcastically suggested that Radhakrishna, a key figure, should be silenced. He went on to express that police officers should uphold their dignity and integrity, warning that their actions were not only damaging the police department’s reputation but were also undermining the principles of democracy.

Jagan further expressed dismay over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, questioning how such serious crimes and killings were taking place under the DGP’s leadership. He also warned that the current government’s actions could result in its downfall and urged that such behavior would not be tolerated in the long run.

He also criticized DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao for his harsh treatment of the YSR Congress Party’s social media workers, alleging that they were being mistreated, transferred between police stations, denied food, and subjected to further injustices. According to Jagan, 101 cases were filed against his party members, but the details were either made available online nor taken to court. He threatened to file private complaints against the police officers involved in the harassment.

Jagan reminded DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao that his position as RTC Managing Director was a decision made by his government. He questioned whether the DGP was compromising his own integrity for the sake of political power, accusing him of acting more like a party worker than a law enforcement officer. He also warned that if this situation continued, the government’s actions would severely harm the police department’s credibility.

In his final remarks, Jagan sternly warned the police against taking biased or one-sided actions, making it clear that his party would not remain silent. He assured that private complaints would be filed against every officer responsible for misconduct, and no one would be exempt, even after their retirement. Referring to Subbarayudu in Tirupati, Jagan vowed that those involved in such practices would be held accountable. He concluded by asserting that creating a “Red Book” to keep track of such injustices would not be a difficult task, encouraging every family to maintain one.

This statement by Jagan has stirred intense discussion and has put the spotlight on the ongoing issues within the state’s law enforcement and the political landscape.
