YS Jagan Granted Court Approval For UK Trip

The leader of the YSR Congress Party, and former chief minister of the state of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy received the go ahead from both Nampally CBI Court, and High court to travel to the UK for attend her graduation ceremony that his daughter shall be graduating to.

Court Grants Permission for International Travel
Jagan sought legal approval from the Nampally CBI Court to embark on a two-week trip to the UK, beginning January 11. His petition was approved, granting him permission to travel until January 30, enabling him to attend his daughter’s special academic milestone.

High Court Clears Path for Passport Issuance
In addition to travel permission, Jagan also approached the High Court to secure a No Objection Certificate (NOC) required for obtaining a new passport. The High Court ruled in his favor, instructing authorities to issue a passport with a five-year validity. This ruling overturned a previous decision by the Vijayawada Special Court, which had imposed conditions that required Jagan to personally appear and submit a bond of ₹20,000 to get the NOC.

Overturning Special Court’s Restrictions
Justice Srinivas Reddy, while reviewing the case, dismissed the conditions set by the Special Court as unnecessary. He ruled that the earlier directives were unwarranted, providing a clear path for Jagan to receive his passport without further delays.

With both courts giving the necessary approvals, YS Jagan is all set to travel to the UK on 11 January, 2025 to attend his daughter’s graduation ceremony and avoid the legal hurdles from now on.
