Kranti, the daughter of YSR Congress Party (YCP) leader Mudragada Padmanabham, officially joined the Jana Sena Party today. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan extended a warm welcome to her by draping the party’s traditional shawl, around her shoulders. Kranti’s husband also joined the party during the same event in the presence of Pawan Kalyan.
In addition to Kranti and her husband, several corporators from Guntur Corporation, municipal councilors from Jaggayyapeta, and an MPTC member, along with several former MPTCs and sarpanches from the Pedana constituency, were inducted into the Jana Sena Party. Pawan Kalyan welcomed all the new members with the party’s ‘kanduva’.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan noted that the growing number of joinings reflects the increasing public trust in the Jana Sena Party. He affirmed the party’s commitment to addressing the people’s basic needs and highlighted that the “Palle Panduga” initiative is driving development in villages. He also praised the efficiency of the Panchayati Raj department, which he stated is working more effectively than ever.
It is notable that during the recent elections, Mudragada Padmanabham had made strong remarks against Pawan Kalyan. Despite this, Kranti openly declared her support for Pawan Kalyan at that time.
Moreover, Mudragada had previously vowed to change his name if Pawan Kalyan secured a victory in Pithapuram. Following Pawan Kalyan’s win, Mudragada honored his promise by officially changing his name to Mudragada Padmanabhareddy, as reflected in a gazette notification.
