YCP Conspiracy Behind Boats Crashing Into Prakasam Barrage Gates?

The Andhra Pradesh government is suspecting a deep rooted conspiracy behind four boats crashing into Prakasam barrage gates last Monday. The police have registered a case. Already Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Irrigation Minister N Rama Naidu have expressed suspicions over the incident. Executive Engineer Krishna Rao of Irrigation Department filed a complaint in the first town Police Station of Vijayawada to investigate the incident.

The complaint stated that the owners of the boats should be investigated. They expressed suspicion that there was a conspiracy in the incident where the boats collided with the gates. Meanwhile, Minister Kollu Ravindra alleged that the board belonged to YCP leaders.

Alleging a hidden conspiracy behind it, he believed that these boats were intentionally sent to crash the barrage. According to him heavy boats were brought and left behind and the boats that hit the barrage did not have any permits. If there is any damage to the barrage, there will be a big disaster.

He sought that the government should take this incident very seriously and conduct a thorough probe into it. He also said that the boats carried YCP colours.

Ravindra alleged that YCP leaders were notorious for illegally selling sand and soil in Budameru vagu, which was responsible for the recent disastrous floods in Vijayawada. Due to this only, he felt that Budameru breached at several points. He made it clear that the YCP government’s criminal negligence only led to Budameru floods.

It may be recalled that last Monday, four iron boats were hit by the counterweight attached to the gates of Prakasam Barrage due to the surge of flood coming from the upper part of Krishna River. While the weight at gate number 64 was slightly damaged, the weight at gate number 69 was completely broken in the middle.

The iron rods inside the concrete cement block came out. One of the boats hit the counterweight at gate 69 and got stuck. Two other boats collided with this boat and stopped. Another boat was slightly damaged after hitting the counterweight at Khana No. 64. This boat is stuck here.

On the other hand, the officials repaired the damaged gates at Prakasam Barrage. Repair work is going on under the supervision of experts. Repair work is going on for gates number 67 and 69 of Prakasam Barrage. The work is being done under the supervision of experts Kannayya Naidu.
