YCP Cadre Pelted Stones On YS Jagan’s House In Pulivendula

In a shocking development, for the first time in the history of Pulivendula, after the YSR family emerged as a dominant political force in this area during early 70s, former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s own party cadre lost patience and pelted stones on his house.

After YCP’s humiliating defeat in the recent polls, for the first time YS Jagan reached the native village on a three-day tour on Saturday. This led to the arrival of a large number of party leaders and cadres to greet him. However, as the security staff prevented the YCP cadre from meeting their leader, they became angry.

They pelted stones on the house, by which the windows of the former CM’s house were broken. It is noteworthy that some activists even raised slogans saying `YS Jagan down.. down’. Even political opponents also dared earlier to give such slogans and pelting stones on their houses.

YCP cadre says they lost cool as the security staff prevented them from seeing their leader YS Jagan. This has created a very tense environment. The police and Jagan’s security tried very hard to prevent them from entering Jagan’s house. Even YCP chief YS Jagan was also said to be shocked with such unruly behaviour of his own party cadre.

Some YCP activists are admitting that they were angry at their leader for completely ignoring Pulivendala during the last five years. They are demanding that Jagan should be available in the constituency frequently. YCP lost badly in the recent elections in Kadapa district, which was considered a fortress of the YSR family. The YCP won only 3 seats, including Pulivendala in the district.
