The Women’s Association United Forum has demanded that the AP government should order a judicial inquiry to establish the truth in the case of illegal arrest and harassment of Bollywood actress Kadambari Jethwani. Along with the victim Jathwani, AIDWA state secretary D. Ramadevi, Mahila Samakhya state secretary Durga Bhavani and Congress woman leader Sunkara Padmasree spoke to the media in Vijayawada.
They demanded that the accused police officers and others should be punished. They alleged there was a conspiracy in arresting her and presenting her in court in the case of forgery documents given by YCP leader K Vidyasagar. According to preliminary information, it is understood that the state police are involved behind this.
They wondered how Mumbai police officials wrote to the Vijayawada Police Commissioner about Jethwani and the case against Jindal was closed in Mumbai without providing that information to the court.
The victim, Jethwani expressed anger that Vidyasagar, who was unable to manage his own property filed a false complaint against her and IPS officers joined hands with Kanti Rana, Vishal Gunni, PS Seetharamanjaneyu joined him.
She said that she was brought to Vijayawada and tortured like terrorists. Jatwani revealed that a false affidavit was filed against her claiming that she was sexually harassed and not even allowed to meet the Home Minister. She claimed that she was kept in police custody for seven days and subjected to many tortures without anyone’s knowledge.
She expressed confidence that the government led by Chandrababu Naidu will do justice to her. She has expressed her grief that she is being trolled badly on social media. She appealed to everyone not to politicize her case.
She appealed that those who resorted most inhuman and cruel treatment to a girl should be punished severely. She urged to take her case very seriously to ensure justice to her. She thanked women groups who came forward in support of her.
