Tollywood actor and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is one among the seven Telugu persons who were rewarded with the coveted Padma award by the government of India on the eve of 76th Republic Day. He joined the elite list of Telugu actors to be bestowed with ‘Padma Bhushan’ after Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Superstar Krishna and Megastar Chiranjeevi. The Hindupur MLA was recognised for his contribution to Telugu cinema under Arts category from Andhra Pradesh.
As soon as the list of Padma Awards was released on Saturday evening, wishes poured in from all quarters for Balakrishna on this great honour. Several personalities from film industry and political spectrum showered praises on Balakrishna for this achievement. Many celebrities took to social media platforms to extol the actor on this memorable occasion.
