PALAKOLLU: Former minister and Kapu leader Hari Rama Jogaiah has appealed to Minister Nimmala Rama Naidu and MP Srinivas Varma for the establishment of a 500-bed super specialty hospital in the Palakollu constituency. In a letter addressed to the leaders, Jogaiah stressed that true development involves prioritizing essential amenities such as clean drinking water, education, healthcare, road infrastructure, irrigation, and sewage systems, rather than focusing on administrative buildings, residential complexes, and recreational facilities.
Criticizing the government’s current priorities, he alleged that public funds are being misused in constructing administrative and residential buildings, which do not constitute meaningful development.
Jogaiah underscored the necessity of the hospital, citing Palakollu’s strategic location, which is accessible from Narasapuram, Bhimavaram, and Rajolu constituencies. He highlighted the difficulties faced by residents, who often need to travel to Hyderabad or Visakhapatnam for advanced medical care.
The proposed super specialty hospital, equipped with Aarogyasri facilities, would address these healthcare challenges and significantly benefit the region, he stated, urging the government to take prompt action on the matter.
