Why KCR Acting As A Mute spectator ?

Bharat Rashtra Samiti president and former Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrasekhar Rao is a strange political leader. He adopts a contrary style to what many of his contemporaries usually follow. After serving as a Chief Minister of the state for two terms, KCR was confined to Opposition status as the BRS lost power to Indian National Congress last year.

Surprisingly, KCR went into the state of political oblivion after the defeat. Even though he is the Opposition leader, KCR didn’t the attend the assembly and hardly questioned the government in the last ten months. He neither met any victims of floods and HYDRA and didn’t address the people of the state in any meeting expect during his brief campaigns before the Parliament elections. This is quite unexpected from a party head.

Even when the Revanth Reddy’s government is poaching his MLAs, KCR didn’t seem to pacify them and made any attempts to stop the exodus of his partymen into the neighbouring parties. When the political tensions simmered to a new high with the recent flare-up between Kaushik Reddy and Arkepudi Gandhi, KCR has been maintaining stoic silence.

While KCR’s undemocratic approach baffles the cadre of BRS, the Congress party appears to be content to face the likes of KTR and Harish Rao.

Immediately after election results in December last year, KCR sustained injuries after a serious fall in his house. So, he was away from political activities for nearly four months. But, it is very surprising that he is not in scene of Telangana politics even close to a year after being relegated to the status of Opposition leader from being the Chief Minister of the state.

While Harish Rao and KTR are handling the party affairs in assembly and on ground, there is no news on why KCR is playing the role of a mute spectator without taking part in any political discussions and other activities.

There is already a bad perception in the public that KCR spent most of the time in his farm house when he was the Chief Minister of the state. As an Opposition leader, he seems to be continuing the same image. Will he continue to remain in dormancy or is it just a matter of time before he comes out and attacks the ruling government. We have to wait and see.
