Vishwaksen Takes A Subtle Dig At Industry Bigwigs

Tollywood actor Vishwaksen wears his heart on his sleeve. His public statements often trigger controversies and become a talking point in the media. Many a time in the past, he openly expressed his emotions and became a target for moviegoers. But, he never shies away from making critical comments during the release of his films.

His latest offering Gaami, which released last Friday, secured good word of mouth despite some drawbacks in the narration. Vishwaksen’s commendable performance, unique screenplay and stupendous technical values received rave reviews all over. The first weekend numbers are also impressive as the film turned out to be a profitable venture for buyers in many territories.

Unfortunately, Gaami didn’t receive accolades from any of the industry bigwigs in Tollywood. Though Prabhas and Rajamouli appreciated the pre-release teasers and trailers, neither of them watched the film and lauded the efforts of the team. Meanwhile, Malayalam film Premalu received plaudits from Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli.

This seems to have irked Vishwaksen and his team. During a press meet held in Hyderabad this evening, Vishwaksen took a subtle dig at the so-called industry celebs by saying that it would be nice if a few from Tollywood watched the film and said a couple of good words about the content and the hard work of the team which attempted to bring a path-breaking film for the audience.

Vishwaksen said Gaami is a result of six years of dedication and hard work. He vowed to continue doing content-oriented films that will click commercially.
