Vijayendra Prasad Shares Updates on ‘SSMB29’. ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ Sequel

In a recent interview, renowned screenwriter and Rajya Sabha MP Vijayendra Prasad reflected on key discussions with his son, filmmaker Rajamouli. When asked by Rajamouli about India’s wealth, Vijayendra Prasad emphasized the value of India’s cultural stories, particularly the epics Mahabharatam and Ramayanam, as the nation’s greatest assets.

On the topic of the Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel and Aamir Khan’s dream project, Vijayendra Prasad shared, “I met Salman Khan a few days ago and suggested an idea for the Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel, which he liked. We will see what happens next.” Regarding Aamir Khan’s Mahabharatam project, Prasad revealed, “Aamir met me once for the project, but after that, I don’t know what happened.”

Speaking about his son Rajamouli’s ambitions, Vijayendra Prasad confirmed that Mahabharatam remains Rajamouli’s ultimate goal. He also highlighted the role of cinema in bridging cultures, noting that foreign audiences admire Indian films, which in turn helps to honor Indian culture globally.

Vijayendra Prasad further recalled a memorable moment regarding Baahubali, stating, “When we concluded Baahubali Part 1, we intentionally ended it with the iconic Baahubali and Kattappa episode to increase anticipation for Part 2. When Prabhas met Prime Minister Modi, he also asked, ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?'”

Currently, Vijayendra Prasad is working with Rajamouli on the much-anticipated film SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu. The film, produced on a grand scale, also features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priyanka Chopra in significant roles.
