The Ministry of Civil Aviation has recently approved the operation of flight services from Vijayawada to Orvakallu Airport in Kurnool district from July 2. IndiGo representatives said that the flight service will operate three days a week. Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath released the schedule posters of the Vijayawada-Kurnool flight services at the APIIC office in Mangalagiri.
It will depart from Vijayawada at 03.45 pm and reach Orvakallu at 04.50 pm, and will depart from Orvakallu at 05.10 pm and reach Vijayawada at 06.15 pm. The flight ticket price will start from Rs. 2533. Speaking on the occasion, Minister T.G. Bharath said that the state government is working hard to develop Rayalaseema in all ways.
He said that a lot of industries are coming up in Rayalaseema. The Minister assured that the industrial corridor from Lepakshi to Kopparthi and Orvakallu will be developed a lot. He is hopeful that industries related to defense, drone, electric and green energy will come up in this area. He said that investments worth thousands of crores of rupees have already come in.
TG Bharath said that the semiconductor industry is coming up in Orvakallu and the work related to this industry will start as soon as the central government releases the 2.O policy. He said that the presence of air service to Orvakallu will be very useful for the movement of industrialists and senior IAS officers.
Minister T.G. Bharath said that a High Court bench will be set up in Kurnool soon. He said that the process of setting up a High Court bench is ongoing. Initially, IndiGo flight services will operate on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Minister T.G. Bharat said that his government will work to ensure that flight services are available every day in the coming days.
