Vijayasai Reddy Submitted Resignation

New Delhi: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Vijayasai Reddy formally resigned from his Rajya Sabha membership on Saturday. He submitted his resignation letter to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar in the prescribed Speaker format.

Reddy had announced his decision to step away from politics on Friday through the social media platform X, where he also disclosed his intention to resign from his parliamentary position. Acting on this announcement, he met the Rajya Sabha Chairman today and submitted his resignation.

First elected to the Rajya Sabha by the YSRCP in 2016, Vijayasai Reddy was re-nominated for a second term by party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in 2022. Although his current tenure was set to continue until 2028, Reddy decided to step down three years before its conclusion.
