YCP senior leader and MP VIjayasai Reddy, who was silent after election results first time came before the media on Monday. While strongly refuting accusations against him in a section of the media that he was responsible for the pregnancy of an ST officer, he announced he would soon launch his own news channel.
Though he is seen severely criticising the ruling TDP, he seemed to be intending to send a strong warning to his own party leadership. He warned that he will not leave anyone who has damaged his reputation, even those who are in his own party.
Announcing his intention to start his own news channel, he said that he had tried for it long ago but was restrained by his party leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy in the party on the plea that the party already had a channel owned by the former chief minister’s family. However, he said this time he will not back down from his attempt even if his party leader asked him.
Indicating present news channels are all biased, he said his channel will be neutral and it will only tell the truth. He said now they are thoroughly finding out reasons why his party was confined to 11 seats and will soon revitalize the party so that it can win elections again in 2029.
Referring to TDP and Jana Sena leaders accusations that he had resorted to large scale land grabbing in and around Visakhapatnam, Vijayasai Reddy asserted that he has no objection to the government taking back all such lands, if at all he illegally owns them.
He deplored that injustice was done to an Adivasi officer by unnecessarily linking his name with her. He warned that he knows who is behind such conspiracies and he will not spare anyone from any side. He also took severe exception with the attitude of some media houses and YouTube channels in spreading such created rumors.
The YCP MP said that he will complain about this matter to the Human Rights Commission, Women’s Commission and ST Commission. He said that he will move a privilege motion in the Parliament.
