YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy has again set a political debate in Andhra Pradesh with his recent statement. He has strongly criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh, an unlikely turn by Reddy towards the actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan. While he regularly targets the Naidu family, now he refers to Pawan Kalyan as a better leader than the Chandrababu and Lokesh.
Reddy is currently facing allegations related to threatening former Kakinada Port CMD KV Rao over the transfer of port management rights. This follows a complaint by KV Rao after Pawan Kalyan’s visit to the port, which led to the CID investigation and the filing of cases against Reddy and other YSRCP leaders. Defending himself, Reddy called KV Rao a “broker” and a supporter of Chandrababu Naidu. However, he praised Pawan Kalyan, stating that he is a better leader than the Naidu family members.
Reddy’s newfound admiration for Pawan Kalyan stems from the fact that the Jana Sena Party leader has never personally attacked him, unlike Chandrababu and Lokesh, who have repeatedly criticized the YS family. In the Kakinada Port issue, while Pawan raised valid concerns about security and illegal ration rice transport, he refrained from any personal criticisms. But Reddy feels Chandrababu’s entire involvement in the CID case is politically motivated. He says Pawan Kalyan handled this issue much better than Chandrababu, who has fast depleted all his trickery tactics in politics.
