Vijayasai Reddy held a press conference yesterday to condemn the allegations against him. During the event, he used terms such as “Arey” and “Orey” while addressing media representatives, which drew sharp criticism from AP Minister Nara Lokesh. Lokesh took strong exception to Vijayasai Reddy’s behavior, stating on social media, “I strongly condemn your indecent abuse of media persons. Even if you lose power, your arrogance has not diminished.”
In response to Lokesh’s tweet, Vijayasai Reddy issued a sharp rebuttal. He accused Lokesh and his supporters in the media of wanting freedom akin to Western media while behaving more like North Korean media. Vijayasai Reddy claimed that they trampled on journalistic values and ran after TRP ratings. He also accused the media of protecting caste interests, whether the issue was about women’s rights or representatives from SC, ST, and BC communities.
