Vijay Thalapathy’s fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of his last film, ‘Jana Nayagan,’ before entering full-time politics. Delighting his fans, the filmmakers have officially announced the much-anticipated release date.
Today, the makers of Jana Nayagan revealed that the film is set to hit the screens on January 9, 2026, just in time for the Pongal celebrations. Initially planned for an October release, the ambitious project was postponed to ensure a grand arrival next year. The announcement was made alongside a vibrant poster featuring Thalapathy Vijay, amplifying excitement among his fans.
Touted to be a political thriller, the film stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead, with a strong stellar cast including Bollywood actor Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Narain Raam, Mamitha Baiju, Monisha Blessy, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in significant roles. Additionally, veteran actor Nizhalgal Ravi makes a special appearance in a pivotal role, bringing nostalgia as he reunites with Vijay after 25 years.
Helmed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan will be backed by KVN Productions, marking their foray into Tamil cinema. Anirudh Ravichander is set to compose the musical tunes.
