The team of Sankranthiki Vastunnam, directed by Anil Ravipudi and starring Venkatesh, celebrated the film’s success with a ‘Victory Celebrations’ event on Monday evening. Notable filmmakers Raghavendra Rao, Harish Shankar, Vamshi Paidipally, and Vasishta attended as special guests, while several exhibitors were felicitated.
Speaking at the event, Venkatesh became emotional as he reflected on his cinematic journey. Referencing his popular dialogue “Devuda… O Manchi Devuda” from Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, he recounted his career milestones. “I entered the industry in 1986 and unexpectedly received Kaliyuga Pandavulu. Without asking, I was given several hits, including Chanti, Raja, Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule, Lakshmi, and Tulasi. Now, in 2024, Sankranthiki Vastunnam has turned into a major success,” he said.
Expressing gratitude to the audience, he added, “I am overwhelmed by the response. It is heartening to know that people who have not visited theaters in years came to watch this film. As Raghavendra Rao always said, a clean entertainer will always be a hit. We will return in 2027 with another Sankranti release. My focus is on delivering entertainment rather than chasing records.”
Raghavendra Rao Suggests ‘Sankranthi Alludu’ as Title for Chiranjeevi-Anil Ravipudi Film
Veteran filmmaker Raghavendra Rao praised the film’s theatrical performance, calling it a significant boost to the industry. “It has been a long time since a film has seen such a high number of shows in theaters. The performances of Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary were commendable. While Venkatesh remains reserved off-screen, he creates a dynamic presence on-screen. Bhims’ music is another highlight, and I look forward to more successful collaborations between Anil and Bhims,” he said.
Raghavendra Rao also hinted at Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming project with Chiranjeevi, revealing that Bhims has been confirmed as the music composer. “Anil should not miss the Sankranti season. A fitting title for his film with Chiranjeevi would be Sankranthi Alludu,” he suggested.
