Varun Tej and Meenakshi Chaudhary are set to dazzle in the highly-anticipated pan-India period action drama, ‘Matka’. Set against the thrilling backdrop of the gambling mafia in Vizag, the film’s first look poster, featuring Varun Tej as the enigmatic Matka kingpin, has already sparked immense curiosity among fans.
The latest buzz from the movie’s unit reveals that ‘Matka’ is currently shooting a new schedule in Kakinada. The excitement levels soared as the makers unveiled a striking poster showing Varun Tej gripping a gun, standing boldly in front of a cruise ship at Kakinada port. In ‘Matka’, Varun Tej takes on a dynamic role, portraying a character who transforms from a young gambler into a powerful underworld kingpin, reigning from the 1950s to the 1980s.
Directed by ‘Palasa’ fame Karuna Kumar, the film also features Bollywood sensation Nora Fatehi in a pivotal role. The project is being produced by Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri under the Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainment banners, with GV Prakash Kumar crafting the film’s soundtrack.
