Vallabhaneni Vamsi Fell seriously Ill while In police custody, suffered From Respiratory problems

Former Gannavaram MLA and YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi  fell seriously ill while in police custody. He was in police custody for two days in the fake house patta distribution case and suffered from respiratory problems. The police were alerted when his health suddenly deteriorated while he was kept at the Kankipadu police station at night.

Vamsi was immediately taken to the Kankipadu government hospital. He underwent two medical tests as per the court orders. The doctors identified his respiratory problems and provided him with the necessary treatment. It is reported that Vamsi was sent back to jail after the medical tests.

He was previously elected as a TDP MLA, but later joined the YSRCP. However, the fake house patta case registered against him Vamsi became a key turning point in his political career. The Hanuman Junction police issued a PT warrant against him in this case. Vamsi was taken into custody for two days on the orders of the Nujividu court.

This incident has created further uncertainty over Vamsi’s political future. Although the SC and ST court granted bail in one of the cases registered against him in the Satya Vardhan kidnapping case, it seems that his release is unlikely as other cases are still pending.

Meanwhile, ‘I don’t remember.. I don’t know.. I forgot’.. These are the answers reportedly given by former Vamsi during the police interrogation. On Friday, the police took Vamsi into custody in the fake house patta case distributed during the 2019 elections in Bapulapadu mandal of Gannavaram constituency of Krishna district. He was taken into custody from the district jail in Vijayawada and first underwent medical tests at the government hospital.

Later, he was shifted to Kankipadu police station from there and interrogated. On the first day, the authorities asked a total of 20 questions. Vamsi answered only a few of them. Some were not answered. When the officials asked, “Did you distribute house titles in Bapulapadu mandal? Who are your followers?”, it is learned that he answered, “I don’t remember, I forgot.”

The lawyers on behalf of the prosecution told the court in various cases that these titles were printed in Vamsi’s office in Gannavaram. However, Vamsi acted as if he did not know what the fake titles were. He replied that he did not know where they were printed.

The investigating officers asked him which party he contested in 2019. He contested. But he skipped this question without answering it. Meanwhile, Vamsi’s police custody will end on Saturday.
