Uttam Kumar Reddy slams Jagan Looted Krishna River During BRS Regime

Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that former AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy looted the Krishna River while having parties and entertainment in Pragathi Bhavan during the BRS government. He lamented that Rs. 27,500 crore was spent for the Palamuru Ranga Reddy project during the BRS government and not even a single acre was irrigated.

He said that SLBC works were stalled due to power-cut and questioned what Jagadish Reddy did when he was the minister? He made it clear that he had no desire to travel in a helicopter and he is also not new to air travelling as he was a pilot in the past.

The minister asserted that his government had taken effective action by bringing in 11 highly professional agencies for the workers trapped in the SLBC tunnel accident. He lamented that the words spoken by the BRS leaders while visiting the tunnel mishap area were lies and strongly refuted those words.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that even though many accidents occurred during KCR’s tenure, there was no one to ask and no opposition leader was allowed to visit. He was angry that Harish Rao is now coming to the SLBC tunnel and saying big words.

Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy was angry that Rs. 1.81 lakh crore was spent during KCR’s tenure and nominal work was done. He criticized that the credit for weakening the irrigation department during their tenure goes to KCR and Harish Rao. He said that his government is moving forward democratically and transparently.

He questioned why no one came to visit when the Srisailam Left Bank Power Generation Station blast occurred during KCR’s tenure and 9 people died. He recalled that Revanth Reddy was arrested and taken to the police station that day. He said that when seven of the deities died, their property cages were found after five years.

The Minister said that 30 TMC of water would come through the SLBC tunnel, but the work was left unfinished during the BRS regime. He  said that if those works had been completed, four lakh acres of land in Nalgonda would have been under cultivation.

He questioned why they, who are in the opposition, were not given any permissions despite the number of accidents that occurred during the BRS regime. He said that the SLBC tunnel work would be resumed in two to three months and the relief measures would be completed in two to three days.
