Quite unexpectedly, the makers of Tollywood actor Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh, the shooting of which was put on hold due to his political commitments, came up with a small teaser this evening to cheer up his fans ahead of the elections in Andhra Pradesh. The one-minute teaser is intended to give some mileage for Pawan Kalyan and his party as it is filled with political overtones and references to the ‘Glass’ symbol of Janasena.
The teaser starts with a sneak peek into the tumultuous incidents happening in a sensitive area of Hyderabad where priests are battered by a few anti-social elements. When the villain drops a ‘Glass’ referring to its fate as the range of Pawan Kalyan, the latter makes a powerful and dynamic entry. This is followed by some fleeting glimpses showing his rage and intensity in Kakhi dress.
He slays the henchmen in his style to bring the situation into control. He holds a broken glass and says ‘ The more you break the Glass, the sharper it will turn’ and then slits the throat of his opponent. One more dialogue laden with political reference is when he says ‘ Glass is not about Size but an invisible army’.
Interestingly, the teaser gives a hint that Pawan Kalyan is posted as a police officer in an area that witnesses communal riots. Pawan is seen standing by both religions in two different time frames of the teaser. This means that he will wipe out those forces who try to wedge a gap between religions for political reasons.
The teaser is aimed only to add some spice to the high-decibel political ambience prevailing in the state in the run-up to the assembly polls. Pawan Kalyan looks dashing as an irreverent cop. Sree Leela gets a brief presence in the teaser.
Director Harish Shankar seems to have presented Pawan Kalyan in a high-voltage role with his trademark one-liners that highlight his stardom besides giving some political mileage. Devi Sri Prasad renders a thumping background score to elevate the intensity. Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling the film.
Overall, the teaser is an action-packed glimpse tinged with political dialogues that will equally appeal to both his party supporters and fans. The shooting will resume after the elections.
