The burnt of large number of documents at Tadepalli SIT office by the CID officials has led to accusaion that they are burning Heritage documents. This was reportedly claimed by the staff who were burning papers when the locals stopped and asked about this.
According to local people, they were told that SIT chief Kolli Raghuram Reddy had issued orders to burn documents and show them videos. It was widely spread stating te SIT personnel burnt other important documents including several key documents related to the Heritage company.
SIT personnel has reportedly that that Raghuram Reddy’s personal staff directly brought the documents and burnt them. The burning of heritage documents in the Tadepalli CID SIT office is creating a furore across the state.
Expressing anger over burning of key documents, TDP leaders alleged that sensing that YCP going to be defeated in the present election, the CID has been taking corrective measures by burning key files, so that they would not be answerable to the new government on their services to the present government in harassing key TDP leaders.
However, immediately CID officials clarified that these documents are only waste papers, nothing todo with Heritage investigation. It may be recalled that on the orders of chief minister YS Jaganmohan reddy, SIT has filed many illegal cases to embarrass TDP leader Chandrababu. Many people were pressured to testify against Chandrababu.
TDP leaders are accusing that SIT officials obtained IT returns of IT Heritage, Nara Bhuvaneshwari, Nara Brahmani, besides some other important documents from backdoor. During CID questioning TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, they asked questions showing some such documents.
Lokesh even wondered and asked officials how did they got such personal documents of those who are not related to the case. It was also believed that CID officials created several false documents also in this process.
However, CID officials refuted allegations of burning Heritage documents and said that it is baseless sand irresponsible. The IG has denied claiming that IT returns of Heritage Foods were illegally obtained and burnt. Claiming that they obtained officially and said they will place them all before the court.
Meanwhile, in a tweet, Nara Lokesh asked if the documents are burned, will the sins go away?! He said that they have always been saying that APCID should focus on crime investigation, but turned into a Crime Involvement Department. He accused that some IPS officers in the state have changed their job title to JPS (Jagan Police Service).
Nara Lokesh expressed anger that CID DIG Raghurami Reddy had collected personal information without the permission of the leadership against the rules. It is said that they are burning those documents to cover up the mistakes made by the Jagan government as it is known that the last hours are near.
He said that this is the first time in the country’s history that some IPS officers, who are supposed to be the pillars of democracy, have committed such a crime. Do the sins go away if documents are burned? He asked. Nara Lokesh warned that such officers have to pay the price for violating the law.
