Bengaluru: Kannada actor Upendra has responded to recent media reports claiming he was admitted to a hospital due to health issues, clarifying that he is in good health and had only undergone a routine medical check-up.
Speculation began circulating in Kannada media suggesting that the actor had experienced health complications during the shoot of his film UI and was subsequently hospitalized. The reports triggered concern among fans, many of whom expressed their anxiety on social media platforms.
Addressing the rumours, Upendra took to social media and issued a statement: “I am perfectly healthy. I only went to the hospital for a regular check-up. Please don’t believe rumours.”
Upendra, who was last seen in UI (2023), is currently involved in multiple projects. He will next be seen in 45, co-starring Shiva Rajkumar, which is scheduled for release on August 15. He also plays a key role in Coolie, starring Rajinikanth, set to release a day earlier on August 14.
