Union Minister Rammohan Naidu Announces soon New AirPort In Srikakulam

Steps are being taken to set up new airports in Andhra Pradesh. It is known that the coalition government is trying to increase the number of 7 airports already available in the state. In this context, Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu announced that the path has been paved for the establishment of a new airport in Srikakulam.

The government is determined to increase the number of existing airports in AP to 14 and turn the state into a logistics hub. As part of this, it has sent proposals to the central government for the establishment of new airports. It is known that the NDA government at the center has also responded positively to these proposals.

In this regard, efforts have been intensified towards the establishment of airports in Amaravati and Srikakulam. In this context, Rammohan Naidu recently responded interestingly in “X” and revealed that he is proud that the dream of Srikakulam airport is being realized as the Srikakulam MP and Civil Aviation Minister.

“With effective leadership at the state and the center, we are overcoming challenges and improving infrastructure. This airport will be a game-changer in strengthening the economy here and improving connectivity for the people”, he posted.

The government has already invited consultancies to prepare a technical and economic feasibility report for the establishment of Amaravati and Srikakulam greenfield airports. In this context, the Union Minister’s response has led locals to express their joy that the dream of establishing an airport is going to be realized very soon. The minister’s tweet on social media has gone viral.

However, after selecting the consultancies, they will study the area and the extent of business development opportunities if an airport is established, along with the technical and economic aspects, and submit a report to the government. Based on that report, the central and state governments are likely to take a final decision on the establishment of new airports soon.
