TTD officials have resumed the Suprabhata Seva of Sri Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala. The services of Srivari have resumed with Suprabhata from Wednesday. With this, the Suprabhata Seva has resumed at the Tirumala Srivari Temple after almost a month.
It is known that in the context of Dhanurmasa Rambha, Tiruppavai Pasuras were continued instead of Suprabhata Seva on the 17th of the previous month. Since it is of utmost importance in the Srivari month, the Swami was offered with Thiruppavai Pasuras during Dhanurmasam. After those hours, the Suprabhata Seva resumed as usual.
During Dhanurmasam, the priests offer one Thiruppavai Parayanam every day for this month. In this context, instead of the usual Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy, Ekantha Seva was performed for Sri Krishna Swamy. The pujas were completed with special Kainkaryas for Srivaru. Sahasra Namarchana was performed with Bilva leaves. Srivilliputhur parrots were decorated for the Lord every day.
On the occasion of Dhanurmasam, special offerings like dosa, jaggery dosa, sundal, seera, and pongal were offered to the Lord. In the wake of the end of Dhanurmasam, Goda Kalyanam will be held this evening at the TTD Administrative Building Grounds in Tirupati. This program will continue from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This program will be broadcast live by SVBC.
The ceremonial idols of Sri Krishnaswamy and Sri Andal Ammavari will be specially decorated. Later, the priests will perform the Kalyanam as a celebration. The occasion will end with devotional music programs under the auspices of SV Music College and Annamacharya Project.
Meanwhile, devotees with tokens/tickets are lining up at Tirumala for the 10-day Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan. Thousands from all over the country are flocking to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara through the northern gate. On Monday, 74,800 devotees had darshan of the Lord. Out of them, 17,726 offered their offerings. They paid their vows. On that day alone, the TTD received an income of Rs 3.48 crore through hundi. TTD staff and Srivari Sevaks distributed breakfast, milk and drinking water to the devotees.
