TTD Chairman BR Naidu made it clear that they have kept a watch on non-Hindu employees and there is no question of leaving anyone out. He said that the vigilance investigation against non-Hindu employees is ongoing and strict action will be taken as per the rules. The TTD Board of Trustees meeting was held at Tirumala Annamayya Bhavan on Tuesday.
The Chairman disclosed that the Governing Council has approved the construction of a new administrative building in Tirumala to centralize all departments at one place, and a committee has been formed for the construction of Vaikuntam Q Complex-3. He said that it has been decided to remove six blocks of the old HODC, Balaji Rest House, Ampro Guest House, Annapurna Canteen and Kalyani Satra as per the suggestions of IIT experts.
He said that Rs.4.35 crore has been allocated for the continuous provision of Annaprasadam at the Sri Kodandaramaswamy Temple in Ontimitta. He said that recommendations have been sent to the government to regularize 142 contract drivers in the TTD transport department. He said that the governing body has decided to increase the construction cost of Srivari temples in backward areas from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh.
Naidu said that a decision has been taken to improve infrastructure, lighting, security and a spiritually pleasant atmosphere on the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu walkways to make it convenient for pilgrims. He said that a master plan will be prepared to further develop the Silathoranam and Chakra Theertham areas in Tirumala.
He said that approval has been given to fill four coordinator posts on a contract basis to further expand Srivari service and implement voluntary service to pilgrims more effectively. He said that a decision has been taken to prepare an action plan with experts for various development programs in Tallapaka, where Annamayya was born.
TTD Chairman said that a decision has been taken to sanction Rs. 2.16 crore for unemployment allowance to unemployed Vedic reciters through the Endowment Department, and to divide the funds into three categories and provide Rs. 10 lakh, Rs. 15 lakh and Rs. 20 lakh for Srivari temples and Bhajan Mandirs to be built in SC, ST and backward areas under the auspices of Srivani Trust.
