A tragic incident has happened on the sets of Karthi’s highly anticipated film ‘Sardar 2’, leaving everyone in shock.
Recently, Karthi starrer ‘Sardar 2’ commenced with an auspicious pooja ceremony held on July 12, and filming started on July 17. However, within two days of beginning production, an unfortunate incident took place on the sets.
Today, during the filming of an action sequence at Prasad Labs in Chennai, a stuntman named Ezhumalai fell from a height of 20 feet, resulting in a tragic death. Police officials are currently investigating the accident and reviewing the safety protocols in place during the shoot.
It is reported that the stuntman passed away due to the internal hemorrhage. Currently, the shooting of the film has been halted, and neither the director nor Karthi have shared any official statement regarding this unfortunate incident.
Directed by PS Mithran, the film is the sequel to the 2022 action thriller ‘Sardar’, which garnered acclaim critically and commercially alike with its gripping narrative. The film has become the highest-grossing film in Karthi’s career, leading to the sequel having an even bigger budget.
Backed by S. Lakshman Kumar under the banner of Prince Pictures, the film’s musical tunes will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The filmmakers are planning for a grand release in 2025. Stay tuned for further updates!!
