Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu today in Hyderabad. During the meeting at Chandrababu’s residence, Chiranjeevi handed over a cheque of ₹1 crore, which he and his son Ram Charan had announced for flood relief efforts in Andhra Pradesh. On behalf of the people of the state, Chandrababu expressed his gratitude to Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan for their generous contribution.
Recently, Andhra Pradesh experienced severe floods due to heavy rains, causing significant distress to the people. In response, the film industry extended its support to the state government by offering donations. It’s well-known that Chiranjeevi and his family have consistently shown support during times of crisis. Meanwhile, Telangana has also been grappling with devastating floods.
In this context, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan each pledged ₹1 crore to the Telugu states, with Chiranjeevi donating ₹50 lakh to Andhra Pradesh and ₹50 lakh to Telangana, and Ram Charan contributing the same amounts to both states. Today, Chiranjeevi presented Chandrababu with the combined ₹1 crore donation, which included both his and Ram Charan’s cheques.
