Tirumala Brahmotsavam concludes with Dwajarohanam

The nine-day long Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavam at  Tirumala concluded with the ceremonial flag-lowering Dhwaj Avarohanam on Saturday night.

Earlier Bangaru Trichy Utsav was held at 7 pm. The Garda flag was lowered amidst chanting Vedic hymns and thanking the deities of all the worlds who participated in the Navahnika Brahmotsavam of Srivaru and enhanced the grandeur.

The annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Venkateswara Swamy of Tirumala, popularly known as Kaliyuga Vaikuntha, has concluded successfully. The  holy festivals which started from 4th October in this holy place, ended with Chakrasnanam Ghat on Vijayadashami day.

TTD Executive Officer J Shyamala Rao said that Brahmotsavam was organized with great pomp and devotion and made it clear that all measures have been taken in advance for the comfort of the devotees with a motive serving the Lord is serving the devotees.

He said that during the Brahmotsavams, all care has been taken so that devotees should not face any difficulties and were engaged in monitoring by conducting reviews with the authorities from time to time. The TTD staff, vigilance officials, police personnel and the district administration worked together in coordination in conducting the Brahmotsavam.

He mentioned that special measures have been taken to control the traffic in Tirumala. He explained that the distribution of Annaprasadas to the devotees during these Brahmotsavams went well and 26 lakh people were given Annaprasadas. Similarly, drinks like milk, almond milk, buttermilk and coffee were also provided to the devotees.

In addition, 4 lakh water bottles were also provided to the devotees. On the most important day of Garuda Vahana Seva, about 3.5 lakh devotees participated and it was possible to make all the arrangements without any deficiency, said Shyamala Rao.

As many as 4,000 devotees from 7 states served the devotees. 6,884 artists from 261 art groups from 18 states exhibited their art forms under the auspices of Hindu charitable projects. Along with the vehicle services, the artworks displayed in Tirumala and Tirupati were particularly impressive.
