DJ Tillu was the toast of the Telugu film world on its release in February 2022. The movie, which is an entertaining and comedic mix, vaulted into the status of a cult favorite overnight. The movie was helmed by director Vamsi Krishna and produced by producer Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, with the needed backing really saying it all- DJ Tillu was a super hit, and this opened the doors for a franchise!
Capitalizing on this fame, the second installment Tillu Square was released on the big screens in March 2024. Starring Siddu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles, with Neha Shetty making a special appearance, the film became another big hit grossing approximately Rs 100 crore worldwide. The ongoing super-success cemented further the position of the franchise in the sphere of Telugu cinema.
Now, the excitement continues with the much-anticipated third installment, Tillu Cube. At the Mad Square teaser launch event, producer Naga Vamsi officially announced that Kalyan Shankar, known for his work on the Mad franchise, will be directing Tillu Cube. With pre-production in full swing and filming expected to begin later this year, fans are eagerly waiting to see what’s next in Tillu’s rollercoaster ride.
