Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay is making his debut into cinemas, but not in front of the camera. Unlike his father, Jason Sanjay has opted to pursue a career behind the scenes as a director.
Last year, Lyca Productions announced that they had signed him on for his directorial debut. Recent rumors suggest that the renowned Telugu actor Sundeep Kishan is locked for a lead role in this upcoming film.
Sundeep Kishan has reportedly accepted the role after hearing the script, with an official confirmation anticipated soon. Initially, Jason Sanjay considered actors such as Dulquer Salman and Dhruv Vikram for the main lead; however, he has chosen Sundeep Kishan.
This yet-to-be-titled film is expected to begin shooting early next year. Lyca Productions will be producing the film and also reported that a notable actress is under consideration as the female lead in this project.
On the professional front, Sundeep Kishan was last seen in Dhanush’s directorial film ‘Raayan’, where he played a significant role. The actor has a lineup of movies in Telugu and Tamil, which are scheduled to release in 2025.
Currently, he is shooting for his next project, ‘SK 30’, under the direction of Trinadha Rao Nakkina. He is also set to appear in the much anticipated sequel ‘MaayaOne’, directed by CV Kumar. Additionally, Sundeep Kishan will also appear in Swaroop RSJ’s upcoming venture ‘Vibe’.
