In Nizamabad, the accused in the murder case of Constable Pramod, a rowdy sheeter, Riyaz was killed in an encounter. Although Riyaz was caught by the police on Sunday, he was seriously injured and was rushed to the Nizamabad hospital. However, when the police snatched his gun to escape from there, Riyaz was shot dead in self-defense.
On the 17th of this month, the criminal Sheikh Riyaz brutally stabbed CCS Constable Pramod, who was on duty in Nizamabad town, to death with a knife. He was arrested in a vehicle theft case and was being taken on a bike when he attacked him indiscriminately with a knife. Pramod, who was injured in this incident, died while receiving treatment.
With this, the alert police launched a search operation for Sheikh Riyaz. In this sequence, he was caught by the police while hiding in an abandoned lorry lying in a forest area in Sarangpur. At that time, Riyaz tried to escape from the police. He was injured in the process and was brought to the Nizamabad Government Hospital on Sunday night.
Riyaz tried to escape from the hospital while receiving treatment at the Nizamabad GGH. On Monday, he snatched the AR constable’s gun and threatened him. In this sequence, Riyaz died when the police opened fire.
Responding to Riyaz’s encounter, DGP Shivdhar Reddy said that Riyaz attacked a man named Asif who was holding him on Sunday, and Monday he injured another constable and tried to escape. The DGP explained that Riyaz attacked him while returning from going to the bathroom.
Meanwhile, DGP Shivdhar Reddy paid tribute to police constable Pramod Kumar, who was brutally murdered by Sheikh Riyaz, on Monday and said that the Telangana Police department is committed to fully maintaining law and order in Telangana. He warned that any serious criminals will be dealt with strictly.
The DGP assured that the government and the police department will fully support the family of Pramod, who lost his husband, Pramod, and his three sons, who lost their father at a very young age.
He said that his family will be provided with an ex-gratia of Rs 1 crore, along with the last paid salary till the retirement of the martyred constable, a government job for one of the family members, and a 300-yard house.
He also said that an ex-gratia of Rs 16 lakh will be paid from the Police Security Welfare and an ex-gratia of Rs 8 lakh from the Police Welfare to Pramod’s family and they will support their family.
