The Telangana Waqf Board has opposed the Waqf Act Amendment Bill. The Central Government recently introduced the amendment bill, which has faced opposition from various quarters. The Telangana Waqf Board has officially expressed its opposition to the bill.
A meeting of the Telangana Waqf Board was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Azmatullah Hussaini. Majlis leader and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi also participated in the meeting.
The board opined that the bill introduced by the central government would harm Waqf institutions, which is why they are opposing it. Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi thanked the Telangana Chief Minister for supporting the rejection of this bill.
