As the process of nominations is about to start in next ten days in Andhra Pradesh, senior leader from Telangana and former MLA Gone Prakash Rao has predicted that TDP and its allies are certain to retain power.
He felt that ruling YSRCP suffered to some extent with TDP reaching into alliance with Jana Sena and BJP. According to him these three parties together are likely to win 130 to 145 assembly seats, out of total 175 seats, besides 19 to 21 Lok Sabha seats, among total 25 seats.
However, he said that TDP and Jana Sena are losing some assembly seats due to alliance with BJP. Electorally, he said BJP will not be a advantageous allay. According to his analysis, YSRCP is liekly to win majority of seats only in Chittoor and Kadapa districts. In all other distircts TDP and its allies will get majority of seats.
In Pithapuram, from where Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is contesting, he will win with a majority of 50,000 to 60,000. Gone Prakash Rao also predicted that there will be a possibility of Pawan Kalyan to contest in the Lok Sabha elections at the last minute, as by winning as MP he can become minister in the union cabinet.
Gone Prakasa Rao, who was closely associated with YS Rajasekhar Reddy hailed that Pawan Kalyan sacrifices in number of seats keeping in view of the future of the state and to ensure a change of government in the state.
Accoding to him, these elections are crucial for TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and that’s why he joined alliance with BJP. The cordial environment created between TDP and Jana Sena cadres facilitates smooth transfer of votes among their supporters, he added. Even if TDP contest alone, he felt it would have win 90 to 95 seats.
