Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy have instructed the officials to take steps to set up an IT Knowledge Hub in the first phase on about 450 acres in the vicinity of Puppalaguda.
On Thursday evening, a meeting was held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat with Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari and key officials of the Industries and Revenue Department. The government has previously allotted places for MLAs, MPs and IAS officers in the vicinity of Puppalaguda.
Along with these, the government has allotted land of over 200 acres to revenue officers, Special Police Mutual Co-operative Society and other societies. The officials brought to the attention of the sub-committee the judgment of the Supreme Court cancelling the lands allotted to the societies in the Puppalaguda area.
The officials brought to the attention of the ministers that there is an area of about 250 acres of land belonging to the Industrial Corporation next to this land. In total, about 450 acres are available for the development of the IT Knowledge Hub in the first phase.
The officials advised the group of ministers that five lakh youth will get employment through the IT Hub to be set up in the first phase. The foundation stone of the Hi-Tech City was laid during the tenure of Congress Chief Minister Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy. After that, the Knowledge Hub was set up, and then the Financial District took shape.
The sub-committee of ministers decided that Hyderabad has been a partner in every change that has come about in the IT sector worldwide, and now Hyderabad should also embrace the rapid change in AI technology in the IT sector. Hyderabad has already achieved a stable position in economic development.
The ministers discussed the fact that economists have made it clear that it is not possible to stop the development of Hyderabad. In order to continue development, it has been decided to accelerate the progress of Hyderabad, which has been going on for decades, by developing a knowledge hub on 450 acres in Puppalaguda.
