The Telangana government has appointed prominent Tollywood producer Dil Raju as the Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC). Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari issued the official orders, confirming that Dil Raju will serve in the role for a period of two years.
Dil Raju, whose real name is Venkataramana Reddy, started his career as a distributor in 1990 with the film Pelli Pandiri. He later emerged as a leading producer in Tollywood, operating under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. His breakthrough as a producer came with the 2003 film Dil, which earned him the title “Dil Raju.”
Currently, Dil Raju is producing three major projects. The high-budget film Game Changer, featuring Ram Charan and directed by Shankar, is scheduled for release on January 10, 2025. He is also producing Sankranthiki Vasthunam, starring Venkatesh and directed by Anil Ravipudi, set to release on January 14, 2025. Additionally, he is backing the film Thammudu, directed by Venu Sriram, further solidifying his position as one of the industry’s leading producers.
