Telangana Cabinet Meeting Scheduled For January 4

The Telangana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, will convene on January 4 at 4 PM in the Secretariat. The meeting is expected to deliberate on key issues, including the Rythu Bharosa scheme, financial assistance for the landless poor, issuance of new ration cards, and the state’s tourism policy.

The Chief Minister had earlier announced that Rythu Bharosa funds would be credited to farmers’ accounts post-Sankranti. A significant decision on this scheme is anticipated during the meeting. The Cabinet will also discuss eligibility criteria and application procedures for new ration cards.

Proposals to supply subsidized sand, cement, and steel for Indiramma housing beneficiaries are likely to be examined. The Cabinet will review reports from the Electricity Commission, BC Dedicated Commission, and SC Classification Commission.

Another key agenda item is the potential establishment of a governance board for the Yadagirigutta temple, modeled on the TTD board.
