Telangana cabinet Expansion Likely By Ugadi

It seems that the expansion of the Telangana cabinet has finally come to a head. It has been learned from Congress party sources that the cabinet formation is likely to be completed by Ugadi. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud had a long meeting with Congress leaders Mallikarjuna Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal at the AICC headquarters in Delhi on Monday.

It is learned that the cabinet expansion, which has been postponed for a long time, came to a head in this meeting that lasted for more than two hours. Party sources say that the cabinet reshuffle will take place after the assembly sessions. It is believed that there is a chance of changes in the portfolios of several ministers in addition to providing opportunities to four more people in the cabinet.

It is learned that the meeting discussed the issue of keeping the promises made to some key leaders who joined the party before the elections. It is reported that there was a discussion on the issue of giving opportunities to Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy from the joint Nalgonda district and Chennur MLA Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy from the joint Adilabad district.

It is known that the names of Vakati Srihari from the Mudiraj community from Mahabubnagar district and Sudarshan Reddy from the joint Nizamabad district mainly came up for discussion. According to reliable sources, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy insisted on giving an opportunity to Sudarshan Reddy.

After lengthy discussions, the names of Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, Gaddam Vivek, Vakati Srihari Mudiraj and Sudarshan Reddy are in the front row. Although there is a possibility of providing a place for a total of six people in the state cabinet, it seems that it has been decided to provide a place for only four people for now.

The demand to provide a place for STs in the cabinet is being heard as a key issue. It is believed to make Deputy Speaker from the ST Lambada community. It is also known that there has been a discussion on the PCC Executive Committee and corporation posts. PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud clarified that the final decision on the expansion of the cabinet will be taken by the Congress high command.
