Telugu Desam Party has suspended six key leaders from the party, as they are contesting as rebel candidates in their respective constituencies in the Assembly polls, violating party directions. TDP state president Achchennaidu issued orders on their suspension.
Siveri Abraham (Araku Constituency), Mesala Geetha (Vizianagaram Constituency), Paramata Shyamsunder (Amalapuram Constituency), Mudiam Suryachandra Rao (Polavaram Constituency), Vetukuri Venkata Sivaramaju (Undi Constituency) and Jadda Rajakhar (Satyavedu Constituency) have been suspended from the party. The party took this extreme action as they failed to withdraw their nominations before deadline.
Meanwhile, TDP has appointed assembly constituency election coordinators for 15 constituencies. The party has appointed Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy as the TDP Election Coordinator for Srisailam Assembly Constituency. Palakurthi Thikkareddy for Mantralaya, Vooka Vijaykumar for Madanapalli, Gundumala Tippeswamy for Madakasira, Vantala Rajeshwari for Rampachodavaram, Chadipiralla Sivanatha Reddy for Punganur, Erasu Prathapa Reddy for Nandyala, Magunta Raghava Reddy for Markapuram, Buddha Nagajagadish for Paderu, Mallela Rajasekhar for Panyam and Gonuguntla Vijaykumar for Raptadu have been appointed as election coordinators.
Gadde Baburao and Kucharlapati Trimurthula Raju were appointed as coordinators for Chipurupalli and GV Praveenkumar Reddy, Chamarthi Jaganmohan Raju and Poli Subbareddy for Rajampet. AP TDP president Achchennaidu claimed that these appointments were made on the orders of party chief Chandrababu Babu.
Meanwhile, former MLA Muddaraboina Venkateswara Rao met TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu in Nandikotkur. Venkateswara Rao, who contested as a rebel candidate from Nuziveedu, withdrew his nomination before meeting the party chief.
