TDP Insist To Sack Of AP DGP And Intelligence Chief!

Hours after the Election Commission of India (ECI) sacked home secretaries of six states, including few BJP rules states and DGP of West Bengal, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is mouning pressure both on the ECI and also on the Narendra Modi government to sack key police officers in the state government.

Since a long time TDP has been accusing both DGP Rajendranath Reddy and Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu are working as `YSRCP Cadre’ and turned to be the main instrument in harassing several TDP leaders. Incidentally, Anjaneyulu played a critical role in the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu, last year.

A delegation of  TDP and its allies Jana Sena and BJP met Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena on Monday evening and urged to relieve these two and two more police officers from election duties, alleging that they were responsible for `breach of security’ during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to their combined public meeting `Praja Galam’, near Chilukaluripet.

They alleged that there was a deliberate attempt to disrupt the meeting. They recalled that these police officers are known for stopping traffic even Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy riding on the sky in a helicopter. But they were mum during PM Modi’s visit.

They accused DGP, Intelligence DG PSR Anjaneulu, Guntur Range DIG Palaraju and Palnadu District SP Ravi Shankar Reddy of performing as stooges of the ruling party and creating disruptions to the meetings of the opposition. They accused them of conspiring to disrupt the microphones in the public meeting without controlling the crowd.

The delegation led by TDP polit bureau member Varla Ramaiah, consisting with BJP state media incharge Pathuri Nagabushanam and Jana Sena Krishna district president B Rama Krishna. They urged the removal of these police officers from election duty.

Even the Prime Minister’s office was also said to be serious about `breach of security’ at the meeting. It was particularly expressed concern that even people are forwarding towards the state and occupying lighting and sound system towers, nowhere police were seen attempting to control them. It reportedly felt a ‘deliberate attempt’ to disturb the Prime Minister’s meeting.
