TDP leader and former sarpanch Vakiti Srinivasulu (45) was brutally killed in Hosur village of Pattikonda mandal in Kurnool district, when he went for a natural call on Wednesday morning. He was attacked, throwing chilly powder in his eyes. They killed him with hunting knives.
Police have reached the spot and are investigating. As the murder of Srinivas created a tense atmosphere in the locality, the police intensified security. Local MLA KE Shyambabu, who came to know about the gruesome murder of Srinivas, inspected the scene of the incident.
He visited the family members and consoled them. He asked the police to punish the assailants who were involved in the murder. Pattikonda DSP Srinivasa Reddy said that the murder case of Srinivas will be solved soon. Dag squad and clues team swing into action. The DSP said that he was killed by a strong attack on the back of the head with lethal weapons and beer bottles were found a kilometer away from the place where the murder took place.
Minister Nara Lokesh has strongly condemned the brutal killing of former TDP sarpanch Vakiti Srinivasulu by YCP mobs in Hosur. As he played a key role in recent elections, the political opponents resorted to this murder in desperate condition. Lokesh deplored that despite being rejected in the public sphere, Jagan and his associates are committing such atrocities without changing their old ways.
Lokesh warned that his government will act firmly against such goons and advised them not to treat TDP’s tolerance as a weakness. He assured that TDP will stand by the family members of Srinivasulu,
The YCP leaders seem to be unable to digest overwhelming support to TDP and its allies in recent polls after the public became vexed with the anarchetic regime of the YCP. TDP got a huge majority in Hosur too. They felt that Srinivas was responsible for the huge majority in their village.
