TDP Demand To Disqualify YCP MLA Pinnelli

TDP has demanded stern action against Macherla YCP MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy and also to disqualify him from contesting in future elections for resorting to destruction of EVM in a polling booth. A TDP delegation handing over a video footage of Pinnelli’s vandalism to the DGP, alleged that local police also colluded with the ruling party MLA.

Julakanti Brahmananda Reddy, TDP’s Macharla candidate said that Pinnelli had carried out the attacks day after polling as per a plan. He said that since the day of nomination Pinnelli was trying to create anarchy in Macherla. He deplored that police instead of registering `attempt to murder’ cases against the MLA, filed cases only under nominal sections.

Former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao demanded that a 307 case be filed against Pinnelli and to disqualify him. He accused Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy of being behind all troublemakers in the state.

Varla Ramaiah, a member of the Telugu Desam Polit Bureau, said that they have explained to the DGP that Pinnelli has made the Macherla as his own empire like Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy of Chandragiri and Peddareddy of Tadipatri.

He said that they have urged the DGP to take necessary precautionary measures so that troubles may not repeat on the counting day.

Meanwhile, TDP State President Achchennaidu criticized that breaking the EVMs on the day of the elections was a mockery of the spirit of the Constitution and democracy. He said that riots and anarchy have taken place in Palnadu district on a large scale since the polling took place because of the Pinnelli brothers.

He expressed anger that since the YSRCP government came to power, Pinnelli brothers have been committing successive attacks on the common people, while police remain silent. He said that it is high time for the police and also the ECI to take stern action against the Pinnelli brothers so as to end anarchy in Macherla.
