The TDP has complained to the Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena that some police officers are acting as stooges of the ruling party YCP and sought to take action against them. The party’s politburo members Varla Ramaiah, leaders P Krishnaiah, Marreddy Srinivasa Reddy and Suresh handed over the petition on Friday.
They alleged that Ongole CI Bhaktavatsala Reddy, Urban CI M Laxman and Chittoor CI Gangireddy are working as loyal members of YCP. They demanded a case against YCP Ponnur MLA candidate Ambati Muralikrishna for publishing false news about their party’s candidate in the newspaper.
As over 30 thousand students from the state are studying in Tamil Nadu, they asked to postpone the exams held there on the polling day. Varla Ramaiah has also written a letter to the Central Election Commission saying that adequate arrangements are not being made for postal ballot votes.
Meanwhile, the YCP has demanded action against the social media wing of the TDP, which is allegedly spreading evil propaganda against Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and YCP. To this extent, MLA Malladi Vishnu, former Minister Ravela Kishorebabu, Grievance Cell President Narayanamurthy and Legal Cell Leader Srinivasa Reddy handed over the petition to CEO MK Meena.
On the other hand, Jana Sena complained to CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena that CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy had made objectionable remarks against their party chief Pawan Kalyan in the Bhimavaram public meeting. They objected over Jagan referring to Pawan Kalyan’s personal life and marriages, accusing that amount to violation of Model Code of Conduct. Jana Sena State General Secretary T Sivashankar, State Secretary Ammishetty Vasu and Krishna District President Bandreddy Ramakrishna met the CEO.
